Welcome back for part 4, where I will show you how to measure body pH. .The farther along I go on this journey, the better I am starting to feel – really! When you are first diagnosed with advanced stage cancer, it can feel like a death sentence. I have a strong belief and faith in God, so I have put my future directly into his hands and I fully accept his plans for me.
For this series on body pH, I have given the basics of pH and talked about urine pH and saliva pH. Now, in Part 4, it’s time to put it all together. If you haven’t read about saliva pH and urine pH yet, I would suggest that you go back and find those posts.
Basically, “how to measure body pH” is simple: you measure both your saliva pH and your urine pH. They will tell you what your body is absorbing and what your body is getting rid of. Here’s how to measure your body pH.
How to Measure Your Urine pH
Measuring your urine pH is easy. First, you buy urine test strips. If they aren’t available near you, you can always go online. You are going to use the same test strips to measure the pH of both your urine and saliva.
Measuring Your Urine pH
Measuring urine pH is simple. Put one end of your test strip in your mid stream urine long enough to get it thoroughly wet. Your test strips will come with a colour scale on the box. Match your strip’s colour up to the colour closest to it on the box. The closest number will be your reading.
You will measure your second urine of the day. If you measure your first urination of the day, it will be highly acidic. This is basically because your bladder has stored all of the toxic waste that your body has been processing throughout the night and this is all released in your first urine. The second is seen as a more accurate reflection. You will also measure your urine pH before lunch and before dinner on the days you chose to measure your pH. For me, I measure mine daily at the moment, purely because I want to monitor my progress very closely on a daily basis.
What Range Should My Urine pH Be?
The second urine of the day should be around 6.8. The next two should be between 7.0 and 8.5. We have told you that a healthy urine pH should be slightly acidic, but if you take it after a meal, it should be alkaline, assuming you’re eating a healthy alkaline diet.
The first test tells you how well you are getting rid of acids and how strong your liver is, but the second and third are different because they are affected by your meals. When you eat, you generate a lot of stomach acids to digest your food. But you also make an equal amount of alkalines in the form of baking soda or sodium bicarbonate. These alkalines should show up in your urine pH.
Measuring Your Saliva pH
You will measure your saliva pH twice. The first measurement will be when you wake up, before you have anything to eat or drink – this is really important! When measuring saliva pH, you lick the middle portion of the strip until it is thoroughly wet and compare it to the colour chart. Always remember: use the ends for urine and the middle for saliva. The second measurement will be taken five minutes after breakfast.
You can also check your saliva pH at any other time of day. You can check it when you do your last two urine pH checks if you want.
What Range Should My Saliva pH Be?
The first measurement in the morning should be 6.8. We know this is slightly acidic, but it tells how good of a job your body did taking care of everything you ate and drank the night before. 6.8 uis the pH of a mechanism called your phosphate buffer system. It should never be lower than 6.8. If it is, there’s no reason to panic, but it does mean you have to work at alkalising your body.
For any readings later in the day, they should be 7.0 or over. They may go as high as 8.5.
Just a bit of a rant…
Even if you are as ready to embrace God as I am, it is still traumatic to be told that you need to have surgery and possibly chemotherapy or radiation therapy. As you know if you have been reading the earlier parts of this series, I have refused to consider chemo or radiation treatment because both of these options destroy the very immune system I need to have working overtime to defeat my cancer. I also don’t want to put my family and friends through seeing suffer from the ravaging side effects of chemo or radiation treatment.
Consequently, I am finding out as much as possible about natural health and ways to heal naturally. I fully trust God to lead me where I need to go. It is my mission throughout this process to expose the way I have chosen to treat and cure my cancer through the use of natural cancer treatment options. If I can educate and inspire others, I consider it God’s work.
I really hope this has been helpful. Tomorrow, I am going to tell you about the alkaline diet that I am currently following. It is designed to alkalise your body.
God bless and thanks again for reading.
